Officially Incorporated in 1719

Bellingham is a town located in Norfolk County.  The town officially incorporated on November 27, 1719.  The town is named after Richard Bellingham, an early governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony.

Bellingham is 23 miles southeast of Worcester, 30 miles southwest of Boston, and 20 miles north of Providence, Rhode Island.  Interstate 495 runs across the north end of town, with one exit in the town, Exit 46 at Hartford Avenue.

Currently, there are two elementary schools (Stallbrook, and DiPietro), one middle school (Bellingham Memorial), and two high schools (Bellingham High School and Keough Memorial Academy).
