The Birthplace of the Industrial Revolution

Blackstone is a town in Worcester County.  The town has a total area of 11.2 square miles.  The Blackstone River, birthplace of the Industrial Revolution in the United States, lies on the south border of the town.

The town has two elementary schools, Augustine F. Maloney Elementary School and  John F. Kennedy Elementary School.   In 2003, a new middle school was constructed, the Frederick W. Hartnett Middle School.  Blackstone-Millville Regional High School serves both the town of Blackstone and its western neighbor, Millville.
