Sherborn is a town in Middlesex County.  The town is located 18 miles southwest of Boston and has a total area of 16.2 square miles.  The town government is run by a Select Board.  There is no industry zoned in the town.  The residential property tax rate in 2022 is $19.03.  Property taxes support town government and services. Public services are minimal, and homeowners rely on individual wells and septic systems.

There are 2 preschools in Sherborn center, ECDC and Pine Hill Preschool. The elementary school, Pine Hill School, is local.  However, the middle and high schools are regionalized and located in Dover.  The public school system is highly ranked within Massachusetts.

Nestled within Sherborn is Rocky Narrows, a reservation, populated with a mixed forest of hardwoods, evergreens and 50-foot rock walls.  Visitors use an extensive trail system to explore Rocky Narrows and adjacent Sherborn Town Forest, showcasing the 80-mile Charles River at its loveliest; a pastoral stream slowly moving between ancient cliff walls and steeply wooded hillsides.
